옛날 옛적, 동화의 시대에 세상의 빛은 데이브레이크 마을에 사는 일곱 명의 영웅들이 지키고 있었습니다. 이들은 각각 '키 블레이드'라는 특별한 무기를 사용했죠. 최고의 마스터와 그의 여섯 명의 제자들이었습니다. 그러나 파멸의 위기가 다가오고 세상의 종말을 예고하는 어둠이 드리우자, 최고의 마스터는 제자들에게 각자의 임무를 부여하고 다른 키 블레이드 소지자들로 구성된 연합을 결성하도록 지시했습니다. 그러나 그 후 최고의 마스터는 행방불명이 되었습니다.

Long ago, in the "age of fairy tales," the world's light is protected by seven individuals who reside in Daybreak Town and wield unique weapons called "Keyblades": the Master of Masters and his six apprentices. A devastating conflict has been foreseen, and the world's end is imminent. In order to heal it, the Master of Masters gives his disciples unique roles and instructs them to form Unions comprised of other Keyblade wielders. Soon afterwards, the Master vanishes.
