츠바사 오조라는 11살의 초등학생으로, 축구에 푹 빠져 일본 대표로 FIFA 월드컵 우승을 꿈꾸는 소년입니다. 그의 아버지는 세계를 누비는 선장으로, 어머니와 함께 일본에 살고 있습니다. 츠바사는 축구 실력을 키우기 위해 마을 나카츠로 이사합니다. 그곳에서 슈퍼 골키퍼 겐조 와카바야시와의 도전을 받게 되고, 최고의 축구 선수를 가리는 경쟁에 참여하기로 합니다.

Remake of the first series.
Tsubasa Oozora is an 11-year-old elementary school student who is deeply in love with football and dreams of one day winning the FIFA World Cup for Japan. He lives together with his mother in Japan, while his father is a seafaring captain who travels around the world. Tsubasa Ozora moves to the town Nankatsu to increase his skills as a soccer player. He is challenged by the Super Goalkeeper Genzo Wakabayashi. He then agrees to compete and see who was the best soccer player there.
