평범한 남자 이시하라 토루는 가끔씩 만나는 여자친구와 철도 애호가 직업을 가진 인물입니다. 어느 날, 철도를 따라 달리며 모든 것을 파괴하는 유령 열차 'X 열차'가 등장하면서 상황이 복잡해집니다. 토루는 알 수 없는 힘으로 인해 이 유령 열차와 연결되어 있으며, 이를 이용해 자신의 목적을 이루려는 매우 위험하고 야심 찬 인물들의 주목을 받게 됩니다.
