미래 아사히나, 중학교 2학년이 되는 13세 소녀는 공원에서 신비한 물체가 떨어지는 것을 목격한다. 흥분한 그녀는 인형 모푸르룬을 데리고 가 무엇인지 확인하러 간다. 그곳에서 빗자루를 타고 날아다니는 소녀 리코를 만난다. 미래는 많은 질문을 품고 있었고, 리코는 무언가를 찾고 있다고 설명한다. 두 사람 모두 비슷한 펜던트를 착용하고 있었다. 그러던 중 어둠의 마법사 도쿠로쿠시의 동료인 바티가 나타나 "링크 에메랄드 스톤"을 요구한다. 바티는 괴물 '요쿠바루'를 만들어내며 그들을 위협한다. 미래, 리코, 그리고 모푸르룬은 힘을 합쳐 마법 주문 "큐어업 라파파"를 외치고, 펜던트가 빛나며 전설의 프리큐어가 된다.

Mirai Asahina, a 13-year-old girl who's going into her second year of middle school, witnesses a mysterious object fall in to the park. Excitedly, she brings her stuffed bear Mofurun with her to see what it was. When she gets there she sees a girl named Riko flying on a broom. Mirai has a lot of questions, and Riko explains that she's searching for something. The two of them are wearing similar pendants. Then Batti, an ally of the dark magic user Dokurokushi, appears before them and demands the "Link Stone Emerald." Batti creates a monster called a "Yokubaru" and drives them into a corner. Mirai, Riko, and Mofurun join hands and speak the magic words "Cure-Up Rapapa," their pendants glow, and they become the legendary Precure.
